Kid's Clinic
We are going to be doing a mini clinic for the night of Valentine's!! We will have flyers at practice if you need any and will hand them out in the elementary school. Promote the kid's clinic to anyone ages 4 to 13. The clinic will be right after school on February 13th (3-5 pm) with the performance Friday night, If you are on Silver, you will already be at the game. If you are on Navy, you will be required to gather the kids and help through the halftime performance. After the kid's are dismissed, Navy will also be allowed to leave. Add these dates to your calendars!!
Attendance for Participation in the State Tournament
The state tournament will be held at Weber State this year. We will stay in Ogden for the nights of Thursday, February 27th and Friday, February 28th. The state tournament has been highly enjoyed by cheerleaders in the past and something that is looked forward to every year. For the state basketball tournament games, we are only allowed to have a portion of our 33 cheerleaders on the court at a time, per UHSAA state tournament rules. The coaches would like everyone to be able to participate meaning we will divide games similar to how we are handling basketball season in general. Because there have been several attendance issues leading up to region basketball games, we need to set some requirements of how you will be able to participate in these games. Each team has approximately 2 requirements (one practice and one game) a week for the next 7 weeks leading up to the state tournament. Requirements were discussed that after 2 missed requirements you will not longer be eligible to travel with the team. If there are any extenuating circumstances, please reach out to the coaches as quickly as possible so that we can discuss. Costs per cheerleader will be $50 due on February 5th. This will include room for Thursday and Friday night as well as breakfast Friday and Saturday morning. All cheerleaders must be current on their financial standings in order to attend the state tournament.
