Tumbling
Due to the holiday some of the UXC classes may be canceled.  Please check their website before attending.  Remember there are also open gym times in the evenings if you would like to work on skills on your own.

Navy squad cheers home girls game.  Call time 5:30pm.  Hair and uniform will be set by navy squad coaches at Monday's practice. 

Silver squad will travel to Herriman High School for the boys game.  Load the bus at 5:30pm.  Wear your uniform without the underliner, navy spanks, crew socks, your teal squad bow with your hair in a half up. You must be completely ready when loading the bus.  You will wear your warm ups to keep warm so you all look uniform.

I hope you all enjoyed your break and got some rest because  this is going to be a very busy week.  Practice the tryout dance to Vogue tonight before practice tomorrow.  We do not have time to reteach and clean it.  Please review all sidelines and basketball cheers.

Monday, Nov. 27

Silver/Comp Practice 6:00pm-7:15pm Girls only.  We will rework the comp dance because of having to remove a person from 6-6:30pm and then set halftime 6:30-7:15pm.  7:15pm-8:45pm All team members work comp stunts.  We will review changes from Thursday and continue to work the new stunting combinations.  We only have tomorrow and Thursday before our first competition. The outcome will be determined by how hard we work this week to get it all put together. WE CAN NOT MISS TEAM MEMBERS AT PRACTICE THIS WEEK! Free Dress! Avery and Emily S. SHOWCASE

I want to thank everyone who helped at the showcase!  It was a great success!  The comp. team members have covered their National registration fees if they helped with both set up and break down of the floor.  If you had a parent or parents work you will receive an additional credit. The members on Navy squad who helped with more than just set up will receive a credit to their cheer account which can go towards next years cheer costs or team tumbling when it resumes.  The amount of the credit will be determined by how much you helped and if your parents or a family member helped. It may not be a lot when split among everyone but every dollar helps. :-)

First Basketball Game

The first boys home basketball game is next Tuesday, Nov. 28.  Please make sure you are free of other obligations that night.  Tuesday is not a day we are used to having cheer.  Silver is covering this game but I will need to sub up two or three navy squad members. The next three weeks we have boys games on Tuesday nights. These are pre season games.  Regular season will start Jan. 3.  During regular season boys are away on Wed. and home on Fridays.  Girls have home games on Thursdays.

Friends and Family Showcase
Everyone will stay after school until the end of the showcase.  Meet in the main gym at 3:15pm.  Bring as many people as possible to help set up the floor.  JD Students that help will get volunteer hours and free admission to the showcase. It is advised to bring gloves to protect your hands while moving the pieces to the floor. After set up there will be dinner brought in for you along with time to get ready and work on any homework you may have. If you have friends or family who would like to earn volunteer hour but can not be there at 3:15pm they can help breaking down the floor after the showcase.
Navy Squad warm up time on the floor is 4:40pm-4:55pm.
Competition Team warm up time on the floor is 5:35pm-5:40pm.
Bring your uniform with underliner.  Navy Squad bring your navy bow and navy spanks. Don't forget your poms.  Silver squad bring your silver bow and silver spanks.
Bring your make up and all the supplies you need to do your hair. You will decide on hair and do it as a team.

Wear your uniform with the underliner and leggings.  DO NOT FORGET ANY OF YOUR COLD WEATHER ITEMS INCLUDING A PLASTIC BAG!  Bring water, snacks and money.  I will be arranging lunch to eat on the bus on the way down.  We will decide as a team on Monday what we want for food and how you guys want your hair.

There are not many practices left before Friends and Family showcase. We are not even close to being ready.  We need to finish choreography this week and start working skills.  It is crucial that we have 100% attendance.  Standing and marking the pyramid and individual stunts because we are missing people is not helpful.

Make sure you bring water and a snack to the game.  
Wear your uniform with underliner and leggings. Hair slicked back in a mid height pony with your navy bow for navy squad and teal bow for silver squad.  Senior may wear their senior bows. Please make sure you straighten your pony tail.  It will be cold so remember all your cold weather gear. Game time is 5pm at Weber State.  We are playing Summit Academy.
