Feb. 24th-March 1st

Monday 24th:
Cheer Interviews 3-5:30 p.m. sign up in student services (bring your tryout packet with you)
Parent/cheerleader meeting.6-7 p.m.: All new and everyone who wants to hear about the rule changes and other new items for next year. I suggest a parent or student from each family comes to make sure you know and understand the changes prior to trying out. We will go over all of the packet but just highlight the changed/added items.

P/T Conferences
Tryout packets due by 4 p.m. to avoid late fee.

Thursday 27th:
Boys play off game Quarter Finals at SUU. game at 11:10 a.m.
ALL cheerleaders to attend (unless you are on academic probation or cheer probation from having 4 unexcused absences. If you are not sure please text Coach Anne or Isabelle to find out but you should have received a notice already)
READY at school by 6:00 a.m.  (Coaches will bring bagels)  Board bus 6:05 leave at 6:10.
Hair high pony poof with squad bow. navy dot socks and spankies, no underliners. travel jacket over shell, travel pants under skirt. Cheer shoes must be on when we walk into the school.
Hair and make up need to be done before we get to the school. (we will not have much time once we get there)
Bring money to purchase food at the event. Bring your own water bottle.
We will be driving back after the game that night. We should be back around 6:30 p.m.

Friday 28th:
If we advance to the semi finals we will check out at 12:45 p.m. eat lunch and then travel back to the game. Game time is 5:50 p.m.  You will need to be ready and on the bus by 1:25 p.m. leave at 1:30.
Same dress as above except low white socks and braid with high pony for hair.
We would stay over night (provided I can find a reasonable rate on a hotel. more info on this after the next game.

Sat. March 1st: Possible State Finals 7:30 p.m.

Feb. 17th-22nd

Monday 17th:
Last Mandatory Bonding Activity for this year-
2-4 p.m. @ All Star Lanes in WEST JORDAN. Bring $10 this will pay for bowling, shoe rental and prizes. (You will bowl for small prizes and gift cards. You DON'T have to be a great bowler to win)
You can win cash if you beat the Coaches!!!!
Tumbling lessons will not be held this week due to school closure. We will have them next Mon.

Tuesday 18th:
Hip Hop practice 6-7:15 a.m. Last practice before Nationals. WE NEED TO CLEAN SO DON'T MISS!!!!

Thursday 20th:
Comp teams need to be IN Vegas by 4:00 p.m. Everyone does check in on their own.
Meet at the Theater in the Luxor hotel @ 6:15 p.m. Anne will have your tickets. Show time 7:00 p.m.
(those of you that talked to me about purchasing tix new or extra please text me so that I can see how many we need and I will check into adding to our seats.)
Parent Social @ Eye Candy in Mandalay Bay right after the show is over. ALL parents and those over 21 are welcome to join us.

Friday 21st:
Comp and Hip Hop teams compete in Las Vegas @ the Orleans.
Girls Basketball play offs at Juan Diego. 7:00 p.m.
Coach Kara will text you details. ALL non comp members need to attend and support our team.
(You will be suspended from cheer and will not be eligible for Extravaganza or any other event this year if you do not attend. We need all the support from our cheerleaders as possible and most of them will be out of town representing JD in competition so please be loud and do a great job cheering to represent our cheer team at home for the basketball teams).

Saturday 22nd:

Feb. 10th-15th

Mon. Feb. 10th:
JV practice 3-4:30 p.m.
Tumbling classes are cancelled and we will be only doing privates on Monday nights to allow for those who really want to work on skills before try outs to get individual time.
Costs are as follows- Private $40 for 1 hour. $25 for half an hour.  Shared privates for 2 is $25, 3 is $20 (Privates will be done at JD)

Hip Hop practice 6 a.m.-7:10 a.m.   We need to work on new part and synchronization (as well as prepare for Friday nights game) so EVERYONE needs to be there.

Wed. Feb. 12th:
Comp practice to work on stunts 6-7:30 a.m. Be on Time!!! We need all the time we can get to work on stunts.
Tryout packets available by 12:30 p.m.
Open gym for any stunt groups not hitting sharp. 8-9:30 p.m.

Thurs. Feb. 13th:
Soph & Varsity practice 6-7:25 a.m. for game day practice

Fri. Feb. 14th:

Wear: uniforms no underliner, short white socks, hair in high pony with braid. squad bow.
JV Squad: Girls Varsity 5:30 p.m. (coach Kara) Meal- Adkins & Moses Halftime snack- Barlow
Dinner @ 3:45 pm. Ready and Practice 4:15 p.m. 
Wear: same as above unless Coach Kara tells you different.
Varsity Squad & Hip Hop team: Boys Varsity 7:00 p.m. snack- Owens  
Ready @ 5:30 p.m. 
Wear: uniform no underliner, tall cheerleader socks, hair in 2 braids- 1 on each side with poof in middle. squad bow (come early if you need help with your hair)
Hip hop team needs to stay until after halftime. Wear costume and competition hair. Varsity members will have time to change before half time.

Sat. Feb. 15th:
STATE COMPETITION @ JD: All team works. 
Comp team will compete and Hip Hop team will perform.
 I will post more info on Monday after I meet with the State coordinator.  We need volunteers to help at the competition for the following:

Feb. 4th-8th

Tues. Feb. 4th: Changes please read all
Comp practice 6:30-7:30 a.m.  We need everyone to attend to work on routine and to go over what we will be doing for the game tonight.
Basketball vs. Park City:
JV SQUAD: Girls Varsity game @ 5:15 p.m. Dinner @ 3:15. Dinner and snack by Goldberg & Anderson. Ready at 4 p.m.  Uniforms no underliner, polka dot bows, spankies and socks. Hair in high pony with poof. JV members on comp team will cheer with JV until half time.(Sorry for any confusion, Lynelle and Dr. Colosimo really want comp team to attend the game tonight so we will have to just do our best to make it all work.)
ALL of VARSITY SQUAD and COMP TEAM: Boys Varsity game @ 7:00 p.m. Snack for halftime Barnard & Robinette
Comp team please arrive ready at 5:45 p.m. All team @ 6:30 p.m.
Wear your normal squad uniform with squad bows, low white socks. Hair in high pony w braid across front like last competition. Boys: Wear comp top and navy shorts. 
(JV team members on comp can leave after half time)

Wed. Feb. 5th:
Girls Basketball vs. Alta @ 7 p.m.
Soph. squad and girls with Infractions will cheer at this game. 
Please bring your own water bottle and half time snack.
Ready at 5:45 p.m. Wear: same as JV above. 

Thurs. Feb. 6th:
Hip Hop team practice 6:05-6:50 a.m. 
ALL team practice 6:50-7:20 a.m.  If you do not remember the hip hop dance (taught by Alissa) then make sure you get with someone and learn/review it so you can perform at your game on Feb. 14th.
We will not re teach it, only be reviewing.
Birthday Breakfast 7:20-7:35 a.m. in the Hospitality Room

Fri. Feb. 7th:
Away game @ Uintah - CANCELLED due to weather conditions. The school is concerned about a winter storm warning and the possibility of the cheerleaders getting stuck in Uintah over night so they have decided it would be better not to send us this time.
ADDED Comp practice 5-7 p.m. @ Xtreme Cheer. $5 and any back owed money to avoid a late fee and infraction.  We have one cheerleader we need to put back in the routine and one who got hurt that we need to replace. We really need this practice to be ready for State and Nationals.
