Congratulations to our competition team for taking third at the Wildcat Invitational. It was a fun night and you all performed well.  Next stop JAMZ Nationals!

Monday, Feb. 5
Practice for both squads 6:15pm in the dance studio
Silver 6:15-8:45pm
Navy 6:15pm-8:00pm
Tuesday, Feb. 6
Drill Showcase / Call time 6:30pm / Showcase starts at 7:30pm / Entrance cost for spectators is $5 / Please be in full uniform with your underliner and crew socks.  Hair and bow will be decided at Monday's practice. I have not been given a performance time, just that they needed teams to perform in between their dances so they can change costumes.  If we perform later in the evening I will move our call time back.  I know it is an extra obligation so I will try to make your commitment as small as possible.
Wednesday, Feb. 7
Boys away game @ Ben Lomond / Mandatory game for Silver / Call time is 4:50pm / Uniform without the underliner, low white socks, hair down but styled. Navy squad members text me if you would like to travel and cheer this game.
Thursday, Feb. 8
Girls game Info will be sent out in the Navy GroupMe
Comp practice @ UXC 7-9:15pm
Friday, Feb. 9
Boys home game vs  Stansbury/Call time 5pm for both squads / Senior night! Seniors will be introduced at halftime but will not be walked out by their parents.  Our formal senior night is during Football.

Tryouts are less than two months away.  Please do not wait until the last minute to try and get new skills.  You should be continually working on improving your skills. Those of you who would like to make the competition team need to have at least a standing and running back handspring and score within the same range as returning comp team members. JD competes in Co-Ed Intermediate Varsity Show Cheer.  The required tumbling for Intermediate divisions is jumps to handspring and running tucks.  We will consider candidates and returning team members who score high and are consistently throwing back handsprings with the expectation that you will push throughout the summer to get a tuck. The scoring rubric changed this year and tumbling skills need to be thrown by all team members at the same time to get credit.  We can no longer have girls throwing multiple tucks to make up for non tumblers. This change has reflected how we have placed at competitions this year.  We must adjust to be competitive next year.

You may not put outside tumbling classes on your JD team account.  Please pay for them separately.  Thank you!
