Comp Team Update- Updated 6/21

Invitations to the comp. team can be earned by any of the following:
High Tryout Scores (All around High scores in each tryout category), Exceptional Stunting or Tumbling Skills viewed at open gym.
(Please remember that all comp team members must have a minimum of handsprings and show advanced stunting skills- Please be prepared to show both at open gym) Please bring any interested boys to open gym. I am looking for potential in the boys. They do not have to already know how to stunt or tumble but must show dedication and the desire to learn.

If you have a desire to be on the team and are not on the list please call Coach Anne and let her know why you have not made it to an open gym for qualification. Private qualification times may be set up if she decides. Guys need to contact her as well to make sure they can get a spot. We will only have open spots if we decide to enter into the category with 30 team members. (Super Large Varsity Coed)

*Because of the limits set by the UCA competition rules, we may only compete in a division with 20 members or with 30 members. We can be under that number by 2-3 people only, with out it being a huge disadvantage. Because of this I have created the Alternates category for this year. We will need final commitments from team members and their parents by our parent meeting on June 28th at 6 pm. We will know at that time whether we will have a team of 20 or 30. If we go with 30 then the alternates will automatically be regulars on the team by their desire. If we go with a team of 20 then it will be dependent upon whether all of the above invitees commit to the team or if we have open spots. Open spots will be filled by the alternates. If we do Not have open spots then the alternates have the choice to practice with the team, compete at local competitions that do not have the 20 limit in their category (which will be about 3 regionals) and will also go to Jamz Nationals in Las Vegas (they will not be able to do the UCA Nationals unless a team member drops out, gets sick or injured.) This would still be a great way to be involved and get used to comp team. We needed alternates quite a few times last year.  The final list will be posted after the above mentioned parent meeting.  If you are on the alternate list please attend Comp practice tomorrow.

Please feel free to contact Coach Anne with any questions or if you need more clarification.
