Flyers are now available for this Sunday's banquet.
Sorry they took a while to get out, it has been a crazy few weeks with Nationals, tryouts, posting, parents and preparing for the banquet, leadership voting, the parent meeting and Extravaganza. WHEW!
You can pick up a flyer in the morning from 6-7:15 am if you were not present at the new teams parent meeting. A text went out to all of the cheerleaders this evening as well!

Where: Famous Daves in West Jordan. Address: 7273 South Plaza Center Drive
Price: $15 includes buffet, soda, dessert and tip. Please pay at door.
(Vegetarian meals will be available)
You do not need to eat in order to attend. Just arrive at 4:30.
Who: Cheerleaders and their families.
RSVP: to Coach Anne by 11 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday) with how many will attend.

NATIONALS UPDATE
The link below has a ton of information about Nationals if you have questions. There are also maps of the Convention Center, pricing for spectators, etc. (we will compete in the regular arena)
Our practice time in the Convention Center will be at 6:30 PM on Friday evening. We WILL still meet at 5:30 pm outside the convention center to start stretching and warming up all of our stunts before we go inside to the practice floor. We should still be done around 7 PM.
Our Competition time is currently set for 9:00 AM on Sat. and Sun. (It is subject to change) We will meet (completely ready) at 7:30 AM both days. (In the same place we meet on Friday night).
PLEASE remember your uniforms, bows, shoes, make up and any paperwork that I asked you to bring.

March 27th-March 31st
Interviews start on Tues.
Tues. Comp practice: 6:05 AM -7:15 AM Everyone- We will be working on the sequence of baskets to the pyramid and the ending pyramid. BRING report cards.
(People who are late will stay and condition until 7:30 along with the following people from last week- Alex, Paige, Bear,Courtney.)
People who are missing practices this close to our Nationals competition will probably be taken out of their spots and may not be allowed to be on the team next year. We need everyones commitment during our last week of practice. (Please be considerate of your coaches and team mates who are putting in the time and effort and to your parents' who have paid a lot of money so you can go to Anaheim to compete)
Wed. Tryout Applications due in student services by 3:00 PM.
Thurs. Comp. practice 6:05 AM -7:00 AM Single Basing Stunters, Flyers and spotters
Conditioning til 7:30 for absences or tardies (Zach and Victoria will need to attend for their absences)
Seniors meeting from 7:00-7:30 AM (please be prepared show your dances/cheers for try outs)
Fri. Comp Bonding at Leatherhead's in Draper 8:00-10:00 PM. Karaoke. No charge unless you want food or drinks.(Please note time change)
Sat. Comp. practice 8-10 AM. BE on time or you will stay and condition. You Must attend or you will most likely lose your spot. Please be committed. This will be our last practice before Nationals and we need the time on the mat for our last full run through.
I will be giving out travel detail packets at practice.

Weekly update for 3/20-3/26
Tuesday:
Comp: 6:05-6:35 AM: Molly and Lindsey's basket toss group. (I would like Isabelle to attend too)
6:35-7:05 AM: Everyone for pyramids. (we need to put in full ups and full downs and work on timing)
Be on time- we have a lot to do in a little amount of time. You will condition after if you are late.
If you were late last week, plan on conditioning this week to make up for it.
Leadership meeting 7:05-7:25 AM
Wednesday:
Seniors meeting: 6:45 AM-7:15 AM: Practice for skills clinic. (People who need to do conditioning for being late should come at this time as well- Shannon, Alex, Ricky, Brooke)
Optional Parent Meeting for tryouts. 6-7 PM. This is just for new parents and student athletes or if you have questions about anything in the packet.
Thursday:
Comp: 6:05-7:00 AM: Single Base Stunts. ALL boys, single based flyers and spotters. (It is important the spotters really learn to work with their group to help make the stunt hit with out doing too much and making us lose points.)
6:55 AM -7:25 AM: All kick full (and hitch kick full) basket toss groups.
Skills Clinic 4:30-6:30 PM. This is for anyone who is trying out or anyone who would like to work on their cheer skills. We will have numerous cheerleaders from the University of Utah coming to help work on stunting and tumbling as well as dancing and jumps. Our Seniors will help with cheers, motions and sideline dances. We will have it set up in stations so you can work on the areas in which you need the most help. The cost for both days is $20.
*We will NOT have tumbling class. If you would like to tumble you should come to this clinic.
Friday:

On time tryout applications for next year are due next Wednesday. Late applications will be accepted but you will be charged a late fee. Make sure you get signed up for an Interview.

Don't forget your $10 and back owed money. You should attend regardless of whether you can stunt and tumble (we will be working on cleaning alot, as well as the whole routine)
Parade- You should have received a text from Alexis with all of the details. If you did NOT, then call or text her for the details. All NON comp member should attend, you will receive an unexcused absence if you do not get it cleared with Coach Anne. (This does NOT mean 5 minutes before, you need to have it cleared before tomorrow morning.) Cheerleaders receiving 4 or more unexcused absences will NOT be allowed to participate in any cheer related event including the Extravaganza.
Lacrosse game- No halftime performance. Please meet by 3:45 pm in front of the football stadium.
You should be in your uniform (no underliners) with tall socks, poms, correct spankies and hair down.
You will cheer on the field (where you would normally stand for football) General Cheers Only!
Brooke Rude and Spenser Owens will be in charge. Please text Spenser with any questions.
Please be professional and represent your team well, they are very excited to have Cheer attend.

Comp. cheer schedule revisions to prepare for Nationals
The following will be our Comp. schedule leading up to Nationals:

Sat. 17th- Practice at UXC from 9-12 All need to attend (Bring $10)
Tues. 20th- 6-7a.m. (groups TBD)
Thurs. 22nd- 6-7 a.m. (groups TBD)
Sat. 24th- 7:15-8:30 a.m. $5 (We need this time on the floor- DO NOT BE LATE or you will condition after practice until 9:00) Anyone who wants to participate in the U of U clinic which will be held at UXC that day is welcome to stay and attend the clinic. (It is $40 and will be just like the last one we attended) It is totally optional!
