6/28-7/1

Tuesday 6/28
Practice 5-7:45pm in the Aux. Gym
Wear your white tank top, navy shorts, white sports bra, white socks, cheer shoes, and white bow  
Your hair should be up and out of your face.
Leadership team will meet the last 15min. of practice.  
Captains will meet from 8pm-8:15pm 
Wednesday 6/29
Practice 5-8pm in the Aux. Gym
Wear your gray t-shirt, pink shorts, white sports bra, white socks, and pink bow.
Make sure your hair is up and out of your face.
Competition team boys will join the Silver Squad from 6-8pm.
Thursday 6/30
Practice 5-8pm in the Aux. Gym
Wear your navy t-shirt, navy and gray shorts, white socks, white bow and cheer shoes.
Hair needs to be pulled up and out of your face.  
Friday 7/1
Tumbling /Stunting @ UXC 2-5pm
Wear your UXC camp shirt, pink shorts, white socks and your cheer shoes.
Your hair should be in a pony with your pink bow.
Your June payment of $30 is past due if you pay Kory by check or cash.
Homework
  Make sure you are completing the list below every day we do not have practice.

It is very important that you are working on good form. 
Please make every effort to attend all practices. One person missing could mean a whole stunt group can not practice stunting,  pyramids can't be worked on and cheerleaders may be left out of formations for performances.

6/20-6/26

You made it through camp and did a great job!
Now it's time to make sure you learn and know all the cheers and dances.  It is also time to set tumbling passes, stunts and pyramids for games and performances.  Summer practices are very important because it is when all the material is taught that we use throughout the year.  We will take the material and put it together quickly during the school year for football games and performances. 
Please make sure you review the first ten cheers in your cheer binder before you come to practice Tuesday!
The next ten will be taught this week. 
 If you miss any practices it is your responsibility to learn the missed material from a team mate.
Tuesday 6/21
Practice 5-8pm in the Aux. Gym

Your hair should be in a low pony with your white bow.  
Wednesday 6/22
Practice 5-8pm in the Elementary Gym
Wear your crazy shirt and socks from camp.
Make sure your hair is up and out of your face.
Thursday 6/23
Practice 5-8pm in the Aux. Gym
Wear your navy t-shirt, navy and gray shorts, white socks and cheer shoes.
Hair needs to be pulled up and out of your face.  No bow!
Friday 6/24

Camp Information

Day 1 / Thursday
Remember to bring the food items you signed up for.
Don't forget your physical forms if you haven't already turned them in.
If you still need to pay for lunches or camp you must bring it and turn it in first thing.  Lunch money should be cash or a check to JD Cheer.  Camp money is credit card, cash or a check to UXC.  Kory will not let you participate in camp until your camp payment is made. 
Don't forget your secret sister gift.  It needs to have the recipients name on it.  The first day is socks.
Wear your navy t-shirt,  gray and navy shorts,  white sports bra, low white socks, cheer shoes, and your hair in a low pony with your white bow facing back.  This is camp you should look game ready.
Camp is from 9am-4pm. Please allow extra travel time.  There is usually traffic at this time of day. Arrive a couple minutes early so you are ready to start at 9am.

Day 2 / Friday
Don't forget your secret sister gift.  The second gift is a shirt or tank.

Day 3 / Saturday
Don't forget your secret sister gift.  The last day is favorite snack/candy.
Wear your gray shirt, white sports bra, pink shorts, low white socks, cheer shoes, hair braided left to right in the front into a high pony with your pink bow facing forward.
Camp is from 9am-4pm
Right after camp we will head over to the Ongman's (Avery's house) for a pool party and BBQ.  I will post the address on the blog for safety reasons.  
Don't forget your bathing suit and towel.

Friday 6/10 practice at UXC 2-5pm.  Wear your gray shirt, pink shorts, and white socks.
No poms needed at practices this week
Please remember you need to wear a white sports bra with all camp/practice wear and your uniform.
Shoe Update
I spoke with our Varsity rep today and our shoes are on back order.  She said that Varsity did not anticipate how popular they would be.  They are scheduled to ship in 6/14.  Unfortunately this means we probably won't have them for camp :(
Camp Information
If you have not made your second cheer payment of $300 please bring it to practice Tuesday
Camp Payments
Please don't forget your $25 lunch payment for camp in cash or a check made out to JD Cheer and your $150.00 camp payment made out to UXC.  If you have extra banner money in the cheer account I will have the school cut a check to UXC to pay for your camp and lunches.
Camp Food 
Camp food assignments will be posted on a separate blog entry.  Sheri Corona (Gentry) would like to get Jamba Juice for the team one day.  She is looking for parents that would like to go in with her to provide this for the girls.  If you are interested in helping with Jamba Juice please let me know.
Physicals
Your physical must be turned in to Coach Tracie before the first day of camp.  This is a requirement set by Chris Long our Athletic Director.  If for some reason your own Physician can not complete your physical forms Juan Diego's trainer is employed by Comprehensive Orthopedics Sports Medicine.  They would be happy to give you a sports physical.  Last year they charged $25 and got Juan Diego athletes in quickly.  Make sure you tell them you are from Juan Diego.  Their number is 801-533-2002 and they are located in the Jordan Commons Tower.
Secret Sister
We will do secret sister gifts for camp again this year.  I made my husband draw names randomly.  I will text you who your secret sister is.  Please do not share this information. Here are the categories your Captains came up with.
Day 1 - crazy or funny socks
Day 2 - crazy or funny t-shirt
Day 3 - favorite candy or snack
During practice next week you will have time to find out information about each other that will help with your purchases.  You may not spend more than $25 total!  How you break it up is up to you.
